When asked about what Transmar is in the business of doing, our CEO confidently replied, “We are in the business of developing people.” This applies not just to our people, but to all our stakeholders.
Social responsibility is part and parcel of our business strategy and core values at Transmar.
We take active responsibility for the local communities in which we operate. By fostering partnerships, promoting sustainable practices, and investing in local initiatives, we aim to contribute to the social and economic development of these communities.
We firmly believe that education is a key driver of development. By investing in children and youth today, we are paving the way for a brighter future. To achieve this, we have implemented a strategy that supports education, with a specific focus on developing human capital and bridging the gap between the job market and education.
We understand that building a well-rounded, educated human being is an enormous task that needs well-equipped teachers. This is why we have sponsored Education First, a non-profit organization that aims to enhance the quality of education in Egyptian public schools. The initiative targets all official public language schools in Egypt, a total of 687 schools. It evaluates school needs and provides training for teachers, principals, and school heads. In addition, the initiative also focuses on developing core competencies and interpersonal skills in top students through a wide range of activities, including simulations, workshops, class training, field visits, team activities, and role-plays. So far, over 5,500 teachers have already been trained.
For five years,Transmar has also been a proud sole sponsor of the ‘Ehna Masr’ program, one of the strongest development programs in Education First, which has successfully trained 10,000 teachers, 1,200 principals, and 500 students.
